New for 2026
Celebrate Slow Fashion Week by hosting your own event
For 2026, we are launching a new Fringe programme for Slow Fashion Week, inviting slow fashion makers, menders, and establishments to participate in whatever way you wish!
The Fringe programme is open to any sustainable and inclusive individuals, brands or businesses based in East Sussex who would like to run an event during Slow Fashion Week 2026 (Monday 21st - Friday 25th September).
You may want to organise a knitting circle, book club, panel talk, runway show, repair cafe or a beach clean. All we ask is that your event follows slow fashion principles, i.e., slow production or circularity, sustainable or ethical consumption.
Events you could host...

What you'll get...
- Downloadable Slow Fashion Week Fringe media kit, including:
- How to run a Fringe event guide
- Social post templates and captions
- Listing on the Slow Fashion Week Fringe Programme
- Sharing your Instagram posts on @brightonfashioncollective (2.7k followers)
- Sharing your event on our newsletter (550+ subscribers)
- Slow Fashion Week printed programmes (available to collect from September 2026)
We have a few golden rules...
- You or your brand follows slow fashion principles, i.e. slow production or circularity, and do so as a whole (not another capsule collection…)
- You are inclusive
- You are based in East Sussex
We also require a £15 registration fee from all Fringe participants which goes towards the running of Slow Fashion Week.
Applications close Monday 31 August 2026.
We reserve the right to reject applications from individuals and organisations that do not meet our criteria, or to close applications earlier than stated if needed. Please remember Slow Fashion Week is run by volunteers, our responses may be slow in busy periods. Thank you!
