PROGRAMME

Welcome to Slow Fashion Week 2026

With our biggest, most collaborative programme to date, Slow Fashion Week 2026 is a celebration of ethical, sustainable and slow fashion across the South East.

We believe that slow fashion is more than just what we buy; it’s the communities we build, the skills we develop and the way we show up and advocate for a better future. It doesn’t matter if you shop on the high street or make all your clothes from scratch, Slow Fashion Week is an open invite to explore, ask questions and connect with the community in Brighton & Hove.

We aim to make all of our events as accessible as possible, offering low-cost ticketing options. If you require additional support in attending an event, please get in touch.

Scroll down to view this year’s programme. We can’t wait to see you!

Zack Pinsent at Exploding Appendix

What does it mean to dress for another time? Can clothing change our relationship with history? And what might Regency tailoring have to tell us about the way we dress today?

Zack Pinsent is a Regency tailor who doesn't wear or own any modern clothes. The Regency was a brief and extraordinary period of British history, spanning the years around the beginning of the nineteenth century, when elaborate tailoring, extravagant dress and rigid ideas about appearance sat alongside a rapidly changing society. More than two centuries later, Zack has made the clothes, crafts and aesthetics of this period part of his everyday life.

In a collaboration between Exploding Appendix and Brighton Slow Fashion Week, we will be interviewing Zack about clothing, craft, history and identity, and what happens when an historical aesthetic becomes a way of life. We'll also explore what his approach to making, wearing, maintaining and valuing clothes might tell us about sustainability and our own relationship with fashion.
